Services
WORKSHOP 3D is an Augmented Reality services company, providing content development and implementation in the field of Augmented Reality.
Augmented Reality is a technology that superimposes computer-generated imagery onto a user’s view of the real world, thereby creating a composite view. Augmented Reality implementations typically include a target, which as image or object that is scanned to activate the AR content. GPS coordinates can serve as a target in lieu of or in combination with physical targets. Services include 3D model development, animation, GPS based image and information heads-up style presentations, video overlays, and combinations of these. Our primary deployment target is hand-held mobile devices& including phones and tablets.
Content Development consists of the creation of models, imagery and data intended for deployment onto existing platforms and markets.
Implementation refers to the creation of Apps and or platforms to aid in the deployment of content, including branded Apps, and content/App hybrids.
Standalone work can be done on a fee and/or royalty basis for companies looking for a technological edge, individual businesses doing their own guerrilla marketing, as well as companies making products that involve Augmented Reality. Apps can be promoted directly to the public, or hybrids can be created in which either the customer is a subscription-based user on the front end or a business user wanting to provide content into such an environment.
The project was a bit more complicated than most of their past engagements. The app utilized some drone footage and they had to have additional insurance coverage to fly the drone over the dams. I think a lot of other companies may have decided that the project wasn’t worth it. However, WORKSHOP 3D, LLC was accommodating to our unique situation. – Chuck Allen, Grant County Public Utility District
WORKSHOP 3D is innovating in the field of AR content delivery by creating branded “pipeline” Apps through which our clients and ourselves can deliver contents to end user on either a push or pull basis, with revenue on either end of the pipeline, depending on the nature of the App and content, the delivery system, and the target audience.
