Ray C. Freeman III<\/strong>, WORKSHOP 3D Founder and CEO, has led teams in innovative software ventures on several previous occasions. Freeman is the majority shareholder and Managing Partner of the company.<\/p>\n

As President of CyberToys, Inc., he contracted through Autodesk, Inc. to create the very first real-time modeling program for Lego Dacta for exhibition at Disney World\u2019s Imaginarium, later developed into Lego CAD and Lego Designer by Ray and his team at CyberToys, Inc.<\/p>\n

CyberToys, Inc. also produced the multi-media tour \u201cThe White House is Our House\u201d for the American Architectural Foundation and the White House Historical Association. Over a six-week period at the White House, Ray worked closely with White House Curator Rex Scouten, Head Usher Gary Walters, and photographers Mel Curtis and Stephen Wilkes to produce one of the very first CD-ROM products to use Apple\u2019s then-emerging Quicktime VR technology.<\/p>\n

Later, as Director of Software Development for 2CE, Inc, his team produced the Cubic Eye, a four-dimensional web browser, mapping individual web pages onto the interior surfaces of cubes and hypercubes, resulting in a spatially enhanced style of web navigation.<\/p>\n

His current interest in Augmented Reality dates to his teaching experience in the Design Machine Group at the University of Washington and came to a head in 2017 with his production for Seattle\u2019s Center on Contemporary Art of \u201cPop-Up (AR)t\u201d, an Augmented Reality exhibition and publication that featured the work of eighteen artists, including Mihalyo and Shagam.<\/p>\n
