WORKSHOP 3D has released a number of iOS and Android apps to provide specialized Augmented Reality content delivery in various fields.
ARt portal grew out of a need generated by the initial augmented reality art installation created by WORKSHOP 3D founder Ray C. Freeman III. We found that the off-the-shelf software that we used for that show didn’t meet our needs moving forward, as our artists wanted to explore beyond the limitations of that platform.
festivAR was created to meet the needs of outdoor festivals, providing a real-time augmented reality map that appears over festival handouts, providing GPS-based location and location-specific venue and sponsor information.
propellAR is purely for fun. It is a free app that allows users to fly Augmented Reality drones in any space on their mobile device. It features a dual joystick control panel that works just like a real drone. Additional drones can be purchased within the app for 99 cents each.
ARtifact is under development for release in 2018, following the ARt portal model of downloadable content on a per-exhibit, basis, but customized with more room for identifying or interpretive text, especially for use in museums.
The Goodship app was developed for The Goodship Company to allow their customers to fly a stylized steam-punk inspired hot air blimp over their product’s logo on all of their packaging and other company materials and displays.
WORKSHOP 3D is ready to build your company’s Augmented Reality app.
